With 2019 drawing to a close in a matter of weeks, QuidditchUK are requesting the community to apply for tournament official roles as part of the European Qualifying Tournament held at Salford Sports Village in Manchester on February 1st – 2nd 2020.

Manchester will play host to the top 12 teams from the nation, with teams ranked 2nd through to 7th from Northern and Southern facing off and deciding who will represent the United Kingdom at both European Quidditch Cup Divisions later in 2020. As you may remember, Werewolves of London and Velociraptors Quidditch Club reclaimed their respect title of regional champions this season and have automatically been awarded a 1st seeded spot in Division 1 in Ghent, Belgium. Therefore, 3 spots are up for grabs for going to Division 1 in (2nd/3rd) May, where the 5 remaining are allocated to Division 2 held in Brescia, Italy in (28th/29th) March.

You can find opportunities for Tournament Directors, and Assistant Tournament Directors. As well as roles for Media/Operations/Gameplay Officers. Travel and Accommodation costs are reimbursed in full for Committee Volunteers within the United Kingdom. If you want to get involved, please apply or get in touch with events@quidditchuk.org

We cannot stress enough in how much of an important requirement tournament volunteers are to run our events. To avoid a repeat of last season’s limited number of applications, we had a mandatory requirement for all roles to be filled by the specific deadline for Northern/Southern. Failure to fill in the quota potentially resulted in the cancellation of the tournament(s). Thankfully, the community pulled through and QuidditchUK would like to reiterate our gratitude to everyone who met our request so that we could deliver the best events (that were practically) possible. Positions for Tournament Committee Members are live now, will be open until January 2nd – Reminders will be placed on social media and sent to clubs in the lead up. Let’s keep up the fantastic streak of readiness to devote time/commitment to this sport and make this an EQT to remember.

Development Cup & British Quidditch Cup volunteer roles will be announced in mid-late January 2020.

This announcement is just the first step as we prepare to host the European Games. For athletes and teams, details such as team and player registration, accommodation, and more will be posted shortly by the IQA. 

To the UK Quadball community, we will need all the help we can get to make this the biggest and best event possible - this is an incredible opportunity to help build the sport and anyone interested in volunteering should get in touch with the IQA or QUK.

London to host IQA European Games 2024

QuadballUK are welcoming three new faces into executive level roles. 


We're excited to have Sam Spencer from Southsea Quadball Club and Gemma Woolliscroft from Olympians Quadball Club join us as Gameplay Director and Secretary respectively! 


Leading Team England towards success is Sebastian Waters as Head Coach. Seb is working alongside Team Manager, Tristan Harris.

After a year in the post, we are sad to say that Alex is stepping down as Vice President.  Alex first came into the position of Vice President whilst still a university student and has since graduated and is stepping away from the role so that she is able to dedicate her time to her job. Thank you Alex for your time in the role and all the hard work you've put towards it! 

With Alex stepping away, this means we are looking for a new Vice President. Alex has the following words to share about the role:

"It’s been an excellent opportunity to build skills for both inside and outside the role and to get more involved with the sport you care about. Building relationships within the community is key to the role and an absolute joy to fulfil as you will get to meet people within and outside of the UK that you never would have otherwise".

Alex steps down as Vice-President

QuadballUK is lead by the executive management team, who oversee the day-to-day operational and administrative work across a number of departments within the organisation. The team meet weekly to discuss recent developments, review and create new policies, and share new opportunities for growth or support to both quadball and our community. All of our members are dedicated volunteers, and work hard to make the sport the best it can be.

2023 has brought a new group of fresh faces and some familiar faces into new roles who are all dedicated to ensuring QUK continues to support the Quadball community.  

We are still looking for a Technology Director to join the team and lead key developments for QUK's website and the various systems we utlilise for membership, souting and scheduling.
